This weekend, Netflix is adding a Swedish miniseries, a comedy TV series, a drama movie based on a novel, and a Spanish thriller TV series. As the coronavirus pandemic continues, studios are finally releasing in theaters all those movies that had to be delayed, while streaming platforms continue to keep their doors open for those that are skipping a theatrical release. In Netflix’s case, it also keeps adding new licensed and original content every week, and even though the streaming giant is currently in the middle of controversy, it’s still treating its audience to a variety of content.
Last weekend, Netflix added a bunch of licensed content, most notably Tim Burton’s Big Eyes and Corpse Bride, the rom-com Crazy, Stupid, Love, the classic western Dirty Harry, the comedy-drama Forrest Gump, the action movies Rambo and Rambo: Last Blood, Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds, and the comedies Jackass: The Movie, Jackass 2.5, and Jackass 3.5, along with the documentary The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes and the final episodes of Grace and Frankie and Ozark. This weekend, on the licensed content front, the streaming giant will welcome the Peruvian rom-com Let’s Tie The Knot, Honey!, the horror movie A Drop of Blood, and the documentary Like a Rolling Stone: The Life & Times of Ben Fong-Torres.
