Skyrim is big, but it keeps getting bigger. While console players might still be roaming the now 11-year-old Tamriel, since it launched in 2011, on PC players can enjoy the abundant number of mods that have been created for the Bethesda classic. Some of these mods can be very substantial, such as Falskaar that add new environments and quests, or create whole new experiences like Helgen Reborn and The Forgotten City.
'Skyros' could be considered one of these enormous mods. It is a total conversion mod that puts Westeros, the world of Game of Thrones, into Tamriel. Earlier this week YouTuber Heavy Burns shared an update video on the development of Skyros.

Skyros is a mod for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that "will take place in a geographically accurate Skyrim-sized map of Westeros and feature all the most prominent characters and locations from the series". Yes, that really means recreating the hot southern lands of Dorne all the way up to the icy wastes beyond The Wall.
But such an ambitious undertaking means a lot of work, and the video revealed that the team building Skyros made a "plethora" of new hires over the past 12 months, which has had a major impact on its development. They are currently hard at work making detailed and accurate 3D models of some of the most famous locations and architecture from Game of Thrones.
The update video goes through the 3D modelling, writing, level design, music, and scripting that is going into Skyros.
