Facebook is one of the largest social media platforms, and the platform's app is also notorious for having some really strange bugs. Bugs that make you question what the developers are up to in the first place. While I would love to take a stroll down memory lane and look into all the bugs that we have encountered, it is more fun if we discuss the latest bug, which, for some reason, automatically sends a friend request to the person whose profile you are viewing.
Now, I know it might sound strange, but a lot of users on Twitter have started talking about this bug that is causing this automatic sending of friend requests, and all you have to do is visit someone's profile, and the request will be sent. Thankfully, you can still cancel it, but those who are just stalking others won't really think about going back and checking this.
I tried replicating the same on my Galaxy S22 Ultra but did not run into such an issue. However, Oliver Cragg of Android Authority did, and well, guess what? Cragg has a video to prove this weird bug.

At the moment, we don't really know why it is happening, but we do know that a lot of people are running into the issue. Facebook clearly has not commented on the situation either, and I just checked for an app update, and turns out that my phone is already running on the latest app, and considering how this has been happening to a lot of people makes me believe that the issue is actually a bug. What's causing the bug, however, is something that we don't know.
In the meantime, I suggest that you stop visiting the profiles
