Of all the highly anticipated titles with long development cycles, The Wolf Among Us 2 is one that a number of people have been waiting for since 2013. Almost ten years later, fans of the series will finally be able to continue the story in the form of The Wolf Among Us 2. Though, apparently, the story will be presented in such a way that newcomers will be able to understand.
A commonality that many Telltale Games series share is that most of them possess an overarching narrative that spans across multiple seasons. For instance, Telltale Games' The Walking Dead spans across multiple different seasons and despite introducing new characters and storylines, the focal point of the series has always been Clementine. However, it seems that those looking to play The Wolf Among Us 2, but haven't played the first game, won't have to worry too much.
The Wolf Among Us 2 Will Mostly Focus on New Fables
In a recent interview with Edge magazine, Jamie Ottilie, the CEO of Telltale Games, mentioned that the first episode of The Wolf Among Us 2 will be set up in such a way that everyone will be able to understand how the characters got to where they are when the episode begins. If this is to be believed, then it seems that the sequel won't rely too heavily on its predecessor in terms of how the narrative progresses.
Although, with that information in mind, it begs to question as to which sort of direction the developers wish to take The Wolf Among Us in. The ending of the original Wolf Among Us presented a fairly crucial plot point that could still potentially impact the story of the second game going forward. Then again, it's difficult to know for sure, considering Ottilie's recent comments.
