Production has begun on the Watch Dogs movie, Ubisoft has confirmed.
Featuring an original story, the film will co-star Sophie Wilde (Talk to Me) and Tom Blyth (Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes), and be directed by French genre director Mathieu Turi (The Deep Dark).
Ubisoft has released three entries in the action adventure game franchise: 2014’s Watch Dogs, 2016’s Watch Dogs 2 and 2020’s Watch Dogs: Legion.
“Each game features different stories in a world where hacker rebels attempt to fight injustices enabled by CTOS, a digital information system that links entire cities onto a single network,” according to the publisher.
