While in the past the Thinghas never stood a chance against the Hulkunless the Strongest Avenger was in a weakened state, Ben Grimm’s new power wouldn’t just allow him to beat the Hulk, but absolutely obliterate him. The Thing got his powers after he and the other members of the Fantastic Four were blasted with cosmic rays while on a space mission. That exposure essentially turned Ben into a super-strong rock monster, though not strong enough to match the near unparalleled might of the Hulk. Though in an alternate universe, the Thing was granted a much more powerful set of abilities that make the Hulk look like a weakling.
In Avengers: Forever#3 by Jason Aaron and Aaron Kuder, Robbie Reyes’ Ghost Rider is trapped in an alternate universe ruled by a version of Red Skull who has bonded with the Venom symbiote known as Black Skull. Within this separate reality, the Avengers assemble to rescue Ghost Rider and stop Black Skull once and for all. This group of Avengers consists of Tony Stark’s Ant Man, a more robotic Vision, Mariama Spector’s Moon Knight, Simon Williams’ Wonder Man, and Ben Grimm’s Infinity Thing. While all of these heroes have their differences when compared to their Earth-616 counterparts, the Thing stands out as having the most dramatic upgrade.

Infinity Thing got his powers similarly to the Thing of Earth-616, except instead of being exposed to cosmic rays that simply changed his appearance and made him stronger, Infinity Thing somehow gained godlike abilities.
