The story of Dragonflight, as the name suggests, has us deal with the past, present and future of the different dragonflights, but what about the one that pushed them on this path? What about the story behind their bestest friend, Keeper Tyr? We’ve had bits and pieces of new information as well as actually showing in-game what happened to him, so it’s time to sit down and dive into his story with Nobbel87...

A story that takes us back to the very beginning, a time in which the planet of Azeroth housing the spirit of a Titan, was deeply infected by the corruption of the Old Gods. A time in which the Black Empire ruled the world, firmly holding the Elemental Lords enslaved to their will, basking in the madness of the Void. The Titans' might was so great that they could have easily ripped out the Old Gods and got rid of them — which they did with the Old God Y’shaarj, but doing so proved to do far too much damage to the planet and that spirit inside. So deep had the Old Gods rooted within her, so another plan was needed. Other forces, empowered by the Titans, would have to do the fighting for them, and so Tyr and the other Keepers were molded from the world’s crust itself. The Titan Aggramar imparted his strength and courage to Keeper Tyr, who would become the greatest warrior of these so called Titan-Forged. Armed with an immense hammer and his conviction, Tyr went to war. At his side was Keeper Odyn as they took on the most destructive enslaved elemental lieutenant: Ragnaros the Firelord. Their battle raged for weeks, engulfing the land in fire and magma, giving Odyn that beautiful beard that he has. Through sheer strength and force of will, Tyr and Odyn defeated the Firelord and would go on with
