The Reverse: 1999 launch seems to be a staggered one. It may have flown under the radar for some, but many gacha fans are patiently waiting for the global release of the game. Reverse: 1999 is set to launch in China on May 31st, with no sign of a potential global release date just yet.

The biggest clue that the game will launch in English speaking territories is that the entire game has been translated into English. However, we still need to take the fact that other translations will need to be created into account.

A brand-new PV trailer also dropped amidst the Reverse: 1999 launch news. It looks like a pretty quirky game, with a talking apple, stylish art, and a mysterious storyline. 

If you’re unfamiliar with the game entirely, you can join the club. It’s all a bit of a mystery at the moment, as it seems to feature a blend of modern and historical elements – it certainly sets the scene of an interesting premise. 

Combat-wise, it’s a turn-based RPG with flashy animations as you battle it out in a variety of environments. It already has its own subreddit despite the fact that it’s only had beta tests in China. It’s certainly an anticipated game for those that are interested in the gacha genre.
