Next week’s free Epic Games Store title hasn’t been revealed as usual, with Epic instead saying it plans to offer a “mystery game.”
The mystery title will replace GigaBash and Predecessor, which are now free to claim on Epic’s PC marketplace until December 13.
According to its Epic Games Store listing, “GigaBash is a multiplayer arena brawler with gigantic film-inspired kaiju, larger than life heroes, earth-shattering special attacks and fully destructible environments.”
Predecessor is billed as “a fast-paced action game that combines MOBA and FPS gameplay putting you at the heart of the fight with strategic choice, third person control and immersive action”.
The release of next week’s free Epic Games Store title could coincide will the launch of the marketplace’s Holiday Sale, reliable leaker billbil-kun has hinted.
In 2019, the Epic Games Store offered account holders 12 free games over Christmas, and in 2020, 2021 and 2022 it gave away 15 free titles during the festive period.
Amazon recently revealed the next wave of ‘free’ titles that will be available to Prime members.
Prime Gaming, which is bundled with an Amazon Prime subscription, offers members PC titles to keep plus exclusive in-game content every month.
Members will be able to claim seven free titles in December, three of which will be redeemable through the Epic Games Store, starting today with Deathloop.
