The MultiVersus open beta has been dated with a new gameplay trailer
Warner Bros. Games has announced that the MultiVersus open beta will begin on July 26.
The beta will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC with full cross-play support.
Warner has also announced that the game will support a dedicated server-based rollback netcode. Players interested in getting into the beta early will be able to do so on July 19, if they participated in previous tests for the game.
The beta will include eight different maps, including the Batcave (DC), Tree Fort (Adventure Time) and Scooby’s Haunted Mansion (Scooby-Doo).
2 vs. 2 team-based cooperative mode, 1 vs. 1 matches, 4-player free-for-all, co-op vs. A.I. matches, custom online lobbies, The Lab (practice mode), tutorials, and the addition of local play matches supporting up to four competitors will also be included in the test, for the first time.
A new trailer, which is viewable above, has also shown off the Iron Giant for the first time. The character, based on the Brad Bird film of the same name, will be playable in the open beta.
Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn (DC); Shaggy and Velma (Scooby-Doo); Bugs Bunny and Tasmanian Devil a.k.a. Taz (Looney Tunes); Arya Stark (Game of Thrones); Tom & Jerry (Tom and Jerry); Jake the Dog and Finn the Human (Adventure Time); Steven Universe and Garnet (Steven Universe) and Reindog make up the rest of the roster for the test.
A list of characters reportedly coming to MultiVersus includes Ted Lasso, Scorpion, Fred Flintstone, Samurai Jack and Godzilla, according to a reliable leaker.
