Players can now taunt their opponents in the platformer fighting game MultiVersus. Players can choose from various taunts to tease their opponents, and they can be used throughout the match. Regardless of whether players are on console or PC, they can set key bindings to have up to four taunts ready to go during a fight.
MultiVersus offers many customizable content, but much of it is locked behind a paywall. While players do not need to spend money on microtransactions to enjoy the game, they can choose to purchase Gleamium, MultiVersus' in-game currency, using real-world money. With Gleamium, players can unlock new emotes, which are used as taunts. Gleamium is also used to purchase Variants, which are new skins that players can get for their characters, creating more customization and personalization. While there are only a series of taunts, Variants, and other items available for purchase, the game developers are planning to add in more characters and content with time.

To get taunts, players can purchase them for Gleamium by looking at the Collection page. Then, assign them through the same page; choose the desired character and select which emotes players want to use as a taunt. Once players are in a match, they can taunt at any time, though it does stop the character from fighting while they are taunting.
For MultiVersus players on Xbox or PlayStation, taunting is done using any of the four directions on the d-pad. The default emote will be used at first, so if players do not want to purchase new taunts, they can hit up on the d-pad to use the basic taunt.
