Most people’s idea of a good morning probably doesn’t include having the police barge into their room in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, that’s what happened to one Twitch streamer after police entered her home following a recent swatting incident.
Twitch streamer Clara “Keffals” Sorrenti woke up on August 5 to find officers pointing a rifle at her while she was in bed at her home in London, Canada. She was unharmed and later released a tweet telling fans she was safe. However, the 28-year-old claims that the incident “completely destroyed” her and her fiance’s lives and accuses the police of “terrorizing” her.

Keffals described the situation in a YouTube video on August 9, revealing that someone pretending to be her sent threatening emails to every member of the London city council. The impersonator claimed the streamer was in possession of an illegal firearm and that she’d already used it to kill her mother. The fraudulent emails also claimed that Keffals, who is a trans woman and vocal trans activist, intended to carry out a mass shooting targeted at cisgender people.
Police arrived at her home around 6 AM on August 5, where they took the streamer into custody. Law enforcement searched her house for firearms, ammunition, and related items but found nothing. They also seized her and her fiance’s computers and phones, which forensic computer experts are reportedly examining. This includes the computer she used for streaming, and Keffals claims that she spent thousands of dollars replacing the lost equipment. She’s also still unable to access some of her online accounts.
