The closing scene with Luke Skywalker from The Mandalorian season 2 will be released in Lego form. The Mandalorian first hit screens in late 2019 and introduced fans to Pedro Pascal's titular bounty hunter in Din Djarin, as well as Cara Dune, Greef Carga, and the world-famous Grogu (aka Baby Yoda). The Mandalorian was immediately celebrated by general audiences, critics, and lifelong Star Warsfans alike for its boldness and exploration of a period in the Star Warstimeline that had previously been skipped over on TV and film.
The Mandalorian season 2 was primarily concerned with bringing familiar faces back into the Star Warsstory. Throughout the season’s eight episodes, fans were treated to the integration of Bo Katan as she fought to regain the Darksaber, Ahsoka Tano, who advised Djarin on how to deal with Grogu’s ability with the Force, and Boba Fett and Fennec Shand as they sought to retrieve his Mandalorian armor. However, Luke Skywalker's return in The Mandalorian season 2 came as the biggest surprise to audiences. Some had speculated that Grogu’s story would naturally conclude with Luke Skywalker; however, the timing and manner of his appearance still left fans stunned. The Jedi, having defeated Emperor Palpatine years ago, collected Grogu to train him in the Force as part of the rebuilding of the Jedi order.
