Leading up to the May 12 release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players that pre-purchased the digital edition of the game can now begin pre-loading the game 6 days before its release date. According to GameSpot, the pre-load sits at around 16.2GB.
According to Twitter user @PhantomxKairi if pre-loading hasn’t yet begun for you, you can cancel your pre-order and pre-order again, which reportedly prompts the download to become available.
Nintendo has also announced a livestream to celebrate the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The livestream, set for May 11, will feature gameplay from the upcoming game.
Excitement around the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is quite high, especially in light of previews that went live last month that showcased gameplay from the title’s Sky Islands section. The previews also gave us a look at the different tools Link will have access to in the game.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is coming out on May 12, and will be available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
