For the comparison photos, Naughty Dog used scenes of Ellie and Joel, the protagonists of the original Last of Us game. The improvements are obvious right away, with the new versions of Ellie and Joel far more detailed and realistic-looking than their 2014 counterparts. These visual improvements seem to extend to all facets of The Last of Us on PS5, so it should be exciting for fans to get their hands on the game later this year.
The Last of Us PS5 remake release date is slated for September 2. However, it was also announced that the game is in development for PC as well. The PC version of The Last of Us Part 1 did not get a release date announcement just yet, but we do know that it will be launching at some point after the PS5 version.
