“Enjoy a total overhaul of the original experience, faithfully reproduced but incorporating modernized gameplay, improved controls and expanded accessibility options. Plus, feel immersed with improved effects and enhanced exploration and combat.”
The game will be released for PS5 on September 2, 2022, and the trailer confirms it’s in development for PC too.
Here’s a look at how the game compares to the PS4 remaster, released in 2014.
Naughty Dog has also shown off the first concept art for its standalone The Last of Us multiplayer game.
During an appearance at Thursday’s Summer Game Fest showcase, studio co-president Neil Druckmann said the game is as big as any of Naughty Dog’s single-player titles.
It has its own story, a brand-new cast of characters, and more information on the game will be released in 2023.
