HBO's TV adaptation of The Last of Us recently began filming for season two, which will of course delve into the plot of the second game. The Last of Us: Part II had a larger cast, with quite a few side characters filling out the wider picture, and this will be reflected in the show. A whole bunch of these characters have now been cast.
Owen will be played by Spencer Lord, known for his roles in Riverdale, Heartland, and Family Law. Ariela Barer will portray Mel, Owen's partner; she's featured in the likes of Atypical, Runaways, and How to Blow Up a Pipeline.
The character Manny is being taken up by Danny Ramirez, who appeared in Top Gun: Maverick and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Tati Gabrielle (Uncharted, The 100) will be Nora. All four of these characters are members of the WLF, a militia group to which Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) also belongs.
The new cast members join season one's old guard, with Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, and Gabriel Luna as Tommy. Are you excited for the second season of The Last of Us? Discuss in the comments section below.
