As the developingGotham Knights series proves, DC has been making some pretty big grabs for the spotlight lately, particularly on television. The extremely popular (and equally hilarious) Peacemaker has been dominating on HBO Max, while The CW's regular offerings have kept up their momentum despite a not-always-positive reception from critics. One of DC's latest upcoming forays into the TV world is its recently-pilot-ordered Gotham Knights series on The CW. Set in a timeline where Batman has died, the story tasks his former colleagues to come together with the children of the departed hero's greatest foes and protect the city in his stead. If that sounds familiar, it's probably because this is bizarrely not the only impending project bearing the Gotham Knights name. Yet somehow, the two are unrelated.

Thankfully, circumstances have now played out in a way that should help differentiate The CW series from the upcoming video game from WB Games Montreal also bearing the name Gotham Knights. Fan news site and fandom scoop-finder Murphy's Multiverse has reportedly uncovered the possible characters who will take center stage on the Gotham Knights series. Some are probably expected, but a few might be a bit of a surprise.
