As you head into chapter five of The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story, The Prison of Devices, the gameplay changes up a little from what you're used to. You start with Yoshino bound to a chair and you have to find a way to get her out.

Instead of the standard Incident Phase, Reasoning Phase, and Solution Phase, you'll find yourself switching between Investigation and Reasoning modes as you attempt to escape and save Josui in the process. Here's what you need to know.

Towards the end of this chapter, there will be occasions where you are asked questions. If we have not listed the answers here, it is because they do not matter and have no impact, so feel free to pick whichever you like.
Examine Yoshino's wrists bound with ropes, then examine the rope tied around her body.
Press the button to switch from Investigation to Reasoning mode.
Return to Investigation mode and interact with Yoshino's lap, then examine her bound wrists, before choosing to shake loose the nails holding down the chair.
After the short cutscene, examine the mat on the floor in front of Yoshino, then click the clue marker.
Back out from the close-up view and look to Yoshino's left, you can examine the lantern stand to zoom in and get another clue.
After Yoshino moves the stand, examine the pot on your left to get a clue, then afterward, turn to your right and examine the washstand for yet another clue.
Next, look above the washstand and examine the two masks for two more clues.
Change to Reasoning mode to start creating some more hypotheses.
Return to Investigation mode and examine the Lantern Stand. Choose to break the Okame noh mask, then select to use
