Players may have had to wait for a long time – and there were definitely a few years when the future of the series seemed fairly dark – but a new Fable is finally on the way. The franchise has switched hands from the sadly no longer functioning Lionhead Studios to developer Playground Games, mostly known for the Forza racing series. But among all this turmoil and change, fans can rest assured that they will be able to get their hands on a new Fable game in the not-too-distant future.
There is still a lot of mystery surrounding the upcoming Fable and not many details have been released since it was first announced. The rumor mill has been running at full speed, with talk ranging from multiple planets to explore to a destructive meteorite that destroyed civilization only for it to build itself back up to a medieval level of technological advancement.
