The Boys has announced the official title its college spinoff series, GenV, in a behind the scenes video with its cast.The Boys is a Prime Video original based on the comic book series of the same name. It follows a ragtag group of vigilantes and their quest to expose and eliminate dangerous superheroes, often known as «supes.» After the overwhelming success of The Boys season 2 back in 2020, Prime Video fast-tracked development on a spinoff in September that same year. A year later, the series was officially picked up by the studio.
Agent Carter showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butter are set to serve as executive producers on the upcoming Boys spinoff series. The show's premise involves the lives of young adult superheroes as they navigate the emotional highs and lows of college life. They will compete with other students for the best Vought contacts upon graduation. The Boys offshoot will star those like Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, London Thor, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and Shelley Conn. With a younger cast of characters taking the spotlight, the spinoff series has been compared to Euphoria by recurring star Patrick Schwarzenegger.

Much of the cast assembled for a new video shared to The Boys' official social media page. In the video, the stars hype up their eagerly anticipated series and confirm it will be called Gen V. While they are unable to reveal more details about it, each star teases what makes Gen V so exciting, with Thor capping things off by questioning, "Superheroes, college… what could go wrong?"
