Screen Rant may not be the hero Gotham deserves, but we're the one it needs right now, having been tasked with the duty of unveiling The Batman Honest Trailer. The latest Fandom production pokes fun at the dark and over-serious tone of the recent entry into DC film canon, while still acknowledging the quality and success of the movie.
Successful is the only word for it, seeing as Matt Reeves take on The Batman has grossed over $764 million worldwide. In fact, it has become the director's highest-grossing film yet, recently edging out 2014's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Not only that, but it has been raking in rave reviews and acclaim across the board for its story, performances and attention to detail. Based on Rotten Tomatoes scores, it is currently one of the best-reviewed DCEU movies, even if it Reeves isn't besting his own previous scores.

That being said, Honest Trailers delights in finding tomfoolery even in the brightest of gems, and The Batman certainly has a few dark spots to make light of.
