A new storyboard reveal from Ben Affleck’s unmade Batman movie highlights the key difference his film would have versus other Caped Crusader adventures. During Affleck’s tenure as Batman, he scripted a solo Batman film that would pit the Dark Knight against Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke. The specific timeframe of Affleck’s screenplay would have taken place between Zack Snyder’s Justice League and Justice League 2 — offering a slightly different take on the DCEU's Caped Crusader.
Though Affleck’s departure led to The Batman becoming a DCEU-separate film led by Robert Pattinson, he’d later return for additional filming on the Snyder Cut along with boarding The Flash. Yet Affleck’s Batman movie remains of great interest to many DC fans. A recent storyboard released by artist Jay Oliva on social media shows Deathstroke attacking Batman with his sword. This, coupled with story details revealed about the film, means Oliva’s artwork highlights not only the huge loss of Affleck’s Batman movie but also its refreshingly contained nature in the context of the DCEU.

Virtually every other first movie for a new Batman has been used as the launching pad for a new Batman series, including recently with Matt Reeves' The Batman. Affleck’s film, by contrast, would have existed as a cog in the DCEU superhero universe initiated by Zack Snyder.
