Warning! Spoilers ahead for Batman Beyond: Neo Year #2
In the latest issue of DC Comics' Batman Beyond: Neo-Year, Terry McGinnis reveals the rules he learned from the original Batman about how to fight Jokers (including one he created himself). Taking place after the death of Bruce Wayne, Gotham has come alive thanks to a dark new artificial intelligence. Short on allies and resources, Terry McGinnis has no choice but to truly go beyond what he learned from the first Dark Knight.
In the first issue of Batman Beyond: Neo-Year, it was revealed that Neo-Gotham has marked Terry McGinnis as a wanted fugitive, forcing the new Batman to evade the GCPD along with all of the other threats the city has to offer. Furthermore, the series' #0 issue saw Terry having no choice but to blow up the Batcave so that the technology and resources of the Dark Knight couldn't be corrupted and used against him (or to harm civilians). Sending his family and friends away, Terry is truly on his own with nothing but the suit he inherited from the first Batman.
