The game-changing Age of Sorcery is coming to a close in Conan Exiles , but Funcom isn’t keeping everyone waiting too long for the next Age. On June 22, the Age of War begins, and there's a new roadmap accompanying the announcement.
The Age of War will live up to its name. The official intro, shared in a press release about the new Age, sets the scene:
“An ancient empire has set its hungry eyes on the Exiled Lands. The invasion is nigh.”
The first chapter will be out on June 22nd and feature Clan Hoards, Clan Emblems, combat and weapon changes, and more. All three chapters will feature a new Battle Pass, along with new cosmetics in the Bazaar and additional free content. This will be the first of those three major updates, and the new roadmap gives a hint at just some of what we can expect. The first chapter is, of course, the most filled out, but there are a couple of hints for chapters 2 and 3.
Beginning tomorrow, May 23rd, Conan Exiles will open a Steam beta for all to try and test out new content on the testing branch.
Age of War Chapter 1 will begin the new Age, add features and make some changes, all leading into more of the conflicts that will mark the full arc. Chapters 2 and 3 will feature a number of new additions and changes. There will be a purge revamp, which will expand and overhaul purges.
Conan Exiles will be adding recruitable mercenaries, upgrades to enemy AI, and other additions. All of these changes will lead to PvE sieges in Chapter 3. You can fight back against the Stygian invasion in PvE raids.
Funcom makes sure to note that these are just the handful of changes and features that they’re revealing now and that there’s still plenty to be announced for the Age of War arc later.
