Druig is one of the most hated villains in the Marvel Universe as he has shown time and again to be an untrustworthy snake who only cares about his own self-interest, however, Thanos just proved that Druig is actually a hero. Druig is an Eternal who, like all others, is nearly immortal and possesses complete control over his molecular structure, and is powered by cosmic energy. While many of the other Eternals have proven themselves to be selfless and heroic, Druig has time and again proven that he is not, though new information that Thanos brought to light would suggest otherwise.
In Eternals: The Heretic #1 by Kieron Gillen, Ryan Bodenheim, and Edgar Salazar, Thanos has become the Prime Eternal and therefore leader of the immortal race of superpowered beings. Now that he is in charge, Thanos was guided through his ancestral history by Druig who brought the Mad Titan to meet someone even more ruthless than Thanos himself. When Thanos was face-to-face with Uranos, the Eternal who once plotted the demise of the entire planet Earth and had since been imprisoned for his crimes, fans learn that Druig is actually the hero no one knew he could be.
