Sarah Michelle Gellar is making her return to the world of supernatural-based television in the upcoming Teen Wolf spin-off Wolf Pack. Teen Wolf was a hit television series aired on MTV from 2011 to 2017 and was a remake of the 1985 film of the same name. Yet the series is less inspired by the original film and more from the hit television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which starred Sarah Michelle Gellar, and it now appears the two worlds will collide in a sense.
While Gellar is most famous for the lead role on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which aired from 1997 to 2003, she has had an incredibly long and successful career. She starred in several successful films, including Cruel Intentions, The Grudge, and both live-action Scooby-Doo films. After some time away from television, she returned to short-lived series like CW's Ringer and CBS's The Crazy Ones with Robin Williams, both of which lasted one season. She has also lent her voice to animated series like as a Sith Inquisitor on Star Wars: Rebels and, most recently, Masters of the Universe: Revelation, where she voiced Teela. Gellar is a legacy in television, and it looks like she will continue with her next project, returning to the supernatural world in a Teen Wolf spin-off.
