Jeff Davis Confirms When Teen Wolf Movie Is Set In Franchise Timeline
Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis explains exactly where Teen Wolf: The Movie will fall on the timeline of the series. The show, which ran for 6 seasons and 100 total episodes between 2011 and 2017, was a dark reimagining of the classic 1984 Michael J. Fox comedy of the same name, following Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), a young man who becomes a werewolf and discovers that his hometown of Beacon Hills is a hub of supernatural activity. Teen Wolf: The Movie, which is premiering on Paramount+ later this year, will be reviving the series and leading into a brand new spin-off series titled Wolf Pack. The film will reunite many members of the original cast of the series, including Holland Roden as Lydia Martin, Linden Ashby as Noah Stilinski, Colton Haynes as Jackson Whittemore, Dylan Sprayberry as Liam Dunbar, and Tyler Hoechlin as Derek Hale.
The film will pick up with Scott McCall after the events of Teen Wolf's final season, which saw the werewolf forced to claw out his own eyes in order to protect his friends and family. Although they did grow back, they became permanently red, and that was just the beginning of the sacrifices he had to make. At San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Posey revealed that, in the movie, Scott has stepped away from his old life and set his leadership role aside, focusing on the complicated realities of being an adult. Although he is still haunted by what happened in Beacon Hills, he is trying to maintain his new life working in a veterinarian's office.
