The release of God of War Ragnarok is just around the corner, and fans are hoping to learn more about the game in the midst of its marketing push. Luckily, information on the development of God of War Ragnarok has been revealed as per the lead 3D artist of Valkyrie Entertainment.
Valkyrie Entertainment had recently joined PlayStation Studios, which was announced in December 2021, and is a video game development studio from Seattle. The studio is known for supporting popular games, such as League of Legends, Halo Infinite, Middle of Earth: Shadow of War, Forza Motorsport 7, and God of War 2018, as well as the upcoming God of War Ragnarok. In God of War 2018, Valkyrie Entertainment was responsible for the main HUB, bringing Fimbulwinter to the lake of nine, and the ending. However, while being a co-lead developer to Santa Monica in God of War, it seems that the studio will have an even bigger role to play in the development of Ragnarok, which could be due to how important the Fimbulwinter occurrence will be to the God of War sequel.

Fimbulwinter is a prophesied three-year episode that takes place in Midgard that serves as a warning of the oncoming Ragnarok, and Ragnarok is the world ending event that is known to destroy the nine realms.
