Briana DeJesus is setting the record straight on her co-parenting relationship with Devoin Austin and why she isn't the fan-favorite among Teen Mom 2 fans. Since her first appearance on MTV, Briana has struggled to find the right way to communicate her needs to Devoin. When their daughter was first born, it seemed as though Briana and her family were doing a majority of the parenting, while Devoin came in and out of the picture as he pleased. Flash forward to Briana starting Teen Mom 2, it seemed as though their situation had not changed. What had seemed to change, however, was Devoin's desire to be more involved in his daughter's life. Fans see situations from Briana's point of view but don't always agree with the way she handles things.
Fans think Briana should recognize that while Devoin may not always be there, he is much more present than her other baby daddy Luis. They can't seem to understand why Briana holds Devoin to such a high standard while she consistently gives Luis a pass when he doesn't even do the bare minimum. Devoin has stepped up since Nova was born, and has even involved himself in Briana's other daughter Stella's life, becoming a father figure for her as well. The fans think Briana should stop focusing on all the stuff Devoin does wrong, and start recognizing the things he does right for both her daughters.
