In a recent Instagram live interview with S’More Date, Alexia lamented that Herman died before coming out as gay to her. “I would have loved for him to have come out and had this conversation because I would have supported and helped him,” Alexia said, assuring that her reaction would have been a positive one. Alexia also mentioned that at one point she tried to deal with the situation directly, “I actually confronted him because I did have a suspicion and he lied to me and said, ‘No, if I wanted that, I could have done that, but I never wanted that. I’m happy with you, I’m happy with my marriage.'” Ultimately, Herman died of a heart attack before he got the chance to be honest about his sexuality with his wife. “I was so disappointed that he never had this conversation with me,” the RHOM star said. Fortunately, Alexia, who recently married Todd Nepola, has not lost her sense of humor. She added that she would have “hooked [Herman] up with all my cute gay friends!”
