Ghostwire: Tokyo developer Tango Gameworks has given us a first extended look at some gameplay, showcasing the players unique abilities and certain aspects of the story. Tango Gameworks revealed this footage at a dedicated Ghostwire: Tokyo showcase earlier today.
The game will revolve around protagonist Akito, who is one of Tokyo's last remaining humans after the population instantly vanishes. Together with a conniving spirit called KK, you'll battle with a horde of eerie supernatural forces to solve the mystery behind the population's disappearance.

During the showcase, we got to see some of the supernatural powers you'll have at your disposal whilst playing the game. Through a mystic ability known as "ethereal weaving" players will use the surrounding elements to take down paranormal creatures, using water, fire, and wind abilities that can be refined to suit each individual's play style.
There will also be moments where KK won't be present, leaving the player powerless and having to rely on more traditional tools to take down foes such as bows and stealth takedowns. It's unknown whether this is just one particular section, but it looks like players will be able to utilize stealth attacks when the opportunity arises.
Ghostwire: Tokyo also looks to have a pretty large focus on traversal and exploration. Players will be able to glide across rooftops and grapple onto enemies and ledges to quickly get around. There are also areas with dense fog that can be explored and cleansed by interacting with nearby Tori gates, allowing players to gain experience and upgrade abilities.
