Super Mario Bros. Wonder has enjoyed widespread praise from critics and audiences since its release, and as you’d expect from a Mario game, it’s also enjoying commercial success to match. The game debuted strongly in the UK’s weekly retail charts upon its release, while last week, it climbed into the charts’ top spot. This week, as noted by GamesIndustry’s Christopher Dring on social media platform X, the game has held on to the top spot (though its physical sales are apparently still “quite low”.).
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, on the other hand, has dropped down by one place. After coming in at No. 2 last week, it now sits in third position in this week’s charts. Meanwhile, Teyon and Nacon’s newly-released first person shooter RoboCop: Rogue City has debuted in fourth place, becoming the week’s highest-selling new release.
Several other new titles did launch all week, of course, but they have failed to break into the top 10, with WarioWare: Move It! debuting at No. 15, Star Ocean: The Second Story R at No. 16, and EA Sports WRC at No. 19.
Mario Wonder holds No.1 in the UK physical charts. It just keeps on selling.
Robocop biggest new boxed release at No.4. Wario Ware makes No.15, one place ahead of Star Ocean, and EA Sports WRC comes in at No.19.
