The Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer has finally confirmed Sung Kang is playing the Inquisitor known as the Fifth Brother, and the character originates from another Star Wars show. After months of anticipation, the first Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer finally debuted following the release of a series of promotional pictures, giving fans the first look at the character's return in the limited series.
Almost exactly 17 years after Ewan McGregor's last appearance as Obi-Wan in Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of The Sith, the actor returns to the role of the Jedi Master in a series that promises to dive into the character's lost years. Obi-Wan Kenobi takes place 10 years after the Jedi Purge and will see Obi-Wan watching over a young Luke Skywalker. However, Obi-Wan Kenobi will not be restricted to Tatooine as the trailer confirms he will be traveling to other planets. Among the many challenges that Obi-Wan will encounter in a post-Order 66 galaxy will be the Inquisitors, one of which will be played by Fast & Furious's Sung Kang.

The Fifth Brother featured in the Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer originally appeared in season 2 of the animated series Star Wars Rebels, in which he was voiced by Philip Anthony-Rodriguez. Although books from the old Expanded Universe had already used the term Inquisitor, it was only in Star Wars Rebels that the concept of Jedi hunters as Star Wars current canon knows it was introduced. After the Grand Inquisitor, which can also be seen in the Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer, failed to stop the rising rebel cell on Lothal, Emperor Palpatine sent two more Inquisitors to hunt down the crew of the Ghost: The Fifth Brother and the Seventh Sister.
