The Geoff Keighley-hosted Summer Game Fest and The Game Awards 2022 shows will be streamed in participating IMAX Live theaters in the US, Canada, and the UK. Keighley confirmed the return of Summer Game Fest earlier this year, once more securing the digital showcase's place among the most eagerly-anticipated gaming events of the year. And given the absence of E3 for the second time since 2020, all eyes will sit squarely on the June event from Keighley and Co.
Summer Game Fest won't count as the only show in town come June, however. Recently, Bethesda Softworks and Xbox announced plans to host another joint press conference on June 10. However, Electronic Arts has already confirmed that EA Play Live isn't happening this summer. Upcoming EA titles such as the Dead Space remake and the next Need for Speed may very well appear during other industry events throughout 2022.
