A totally radical crossover event is kicking off tomorrow, with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Street Fighter 6 collaboration starting on 8th August.
You won’t be playing as the iconic heroes in a half shell themselves, but you can get pretty darned close with full costumes available for your custom character in World Tour and the Battle Hub. You’ll also be able to snag TMNT gear and emotes, new Titles, stamps, in-game device wallpapers, and camera frames for Photo Mode.
This is the second branded collab within Street Fighter 6, which featured Onitsuka Tiger in the game for its launch in June, and this is now looking like these kinds of crossover events will be a staple of the game’s regular content drops. We see this kind of thing all the time in Fortnite and Call of Duty, and cosmetics like this are always popular (and lucrative).
Of course, this isn’t the only thing that Capcom has going on within their latest fighting game masterpiece. There’s also the Year 1 DLC characters, with the company teasing the second DLC fighter at EVO 2023, the poison-obsessive AKI. She’ll be joining the game in the autumn, but the teaser trailer already sets a quite disturbing tone…
Street Fighter 6 launched in June to pretty much universal praise, setting a new benchmark for fighting games and this generation.
