A new gameplay trailer was released.
By George Yang on
Creative Assembly and Sega have revealed a new gameplay trailer for Hyenas, their hero-based multiplayer extraction shooter. The game will also have a PC closed beta on August 31.
The trailer shows its characters facing off against one another using a variety of different guns and gadgets. Each Hyena has a unique weapon and ability and players can form in groups of three to steal items. It even shows a team opening up a vault and finding a small statue of Sonic the Hedgehog inside, which is a fun Easter egg considering that Creative Assembly is under Sega's umbrella.

Now Playing: HYENAS — Official Gameplay Trailer
There will be four other raiding crews and your goal is to plunder enough items and make escape. When enough items are stolen, an extraction spot is revealed on the map and players must either make their way towards it or stop others from doing so.
One of the heroes, Hero-Ki, is a small internet celebrity and cosplayer back on Earth. Given the chance to be a real hero, Hero-Ki dresses in a blue suit that looks a lot like Sonic the Hedgehog.
Hyenas was first announced in June 2022 and hasn't been given an official release date yet. The game received an alpha test back in December 2022, and now the beta is coming up. It will launch for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
