Stranger Things season 4 star Sadie Sink has teased the scale of the upcoming season of the hit Netflix sci-fi mystery drama, calling it «bizarre.» Sink joined the show as Max Mayfield in the second season of the show. Stranger Things season 4, which has been long in the works since the last batch of episodes dropped in 2019, will release on Netflix in two volumes across the summer of 2022.
Following the events of the battle of the Starcourt, interference from Russian agents, and Hopper's supposed death in season 3, Stranger Things season 4 promises to take the show into new and unprecedented territories. While the series will once more revisit Hawkins, the show will not only follow Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the Byers family to their new home in California but also to the cold regions of Kamchatka, Russia, where Hopper (David Harbour) and several creatures of the Upside Down are held captive by Russian forces. Tasked with setting up the show's endgame, one of the show's stars has teased the ambition behind the penultimate season of Netflix's 80s-inspired sci-fi hit.
