Episode 8 ofStar Trek: Strange New Worlds introduces a new version of evil Spock (Ethan Peck) that's wildly different from the one Trekkers are familiar with from the Mirror Universe. Strange New Worlds episode 8, «The Elysian Kingdom,» saw the crew of the USS Enterprise turned into fantasy characters from the fairytale Dr. M'Benga (Babs Olusanmokun) reads to his terminally ill daughter, Rukiya (Sage Arrindell). Everyone aboard the Enterprise was transformed into heroes and villains from «The Kingdom of Elysian» by an all-powerful entity in the Jonisian Nebula who was later named «Debra» by Rukiya. The fanciful escapade brought a new comedic touch to Strange New Worlds and also allowed the audience to see the show's characters in a fascinating new light, including another evil version of Spock.
The evil Spock (Leonard Nimoy) who sported a goatee inStar Trek: The Original Series is an iconic alternate take on the Vulcan. Introduced in the TOS episode, «Mirror Mirror,» Spock was in command of the ISS Enterprise when Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner) and members of the Enterprise crew were accidentally transported into the Mirror Universe. The logical Mirror Vulcan was the perfect foil for the Prime Universe's Kirk, who convinced Spock that the Terran Empire would not survive based on the way the ruthless regime operates. The Vulcan ultimately agreed and, after Kirk and his people were beamed back to their proper reality, Spock took over the Terran Empire and began to make sweeping changes. Unfortunately, Mirror Spock inadvertently ushered in the fall of the hated Terran Empire, which was conquered and ruled by the Klingon/Cardassian
