Stephen Amell is open to doing a potential Arrow season 9, but he has a very interesting suggestion for the return. Arrow originally premiered on The CW in October 2012 and ran for eight seasons, airing its series finale in January 2020. The massive success of the series spawned what is now known as the Arrowverse, a family of CW series based on DC Comics that includes Supergirl, The Flash, Superman & Lois, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
Stephen Amell became a star off the back of his performance as the complicated hero Oliver Queen, also known as Green Arrow. After being stranded on a desert island for five years, he returns to Starling City to atone for the sins of his mogul father and become a vigilante hero, using his combat skills as well as his prowess at archery. Over the years he faced off against various villains while being caught in a torrid love triangle between sisters Laurel (Katie Cassidy) and Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), before ultimately marrying Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards).

However, he made the suggestion that Arrow could maybe run "on a different platform" so they would be able to "show blood," which he admits would be "really cool." Read his full quote below:
