Niantic just dropped Season 4 of Monster Hunter Now with a winter wonderland for you to explore. You’ll be braving the tundra with a ton of new stuff to keep your hunts going strong, even if your fingers are frostbitten virtually.
Monster Hunter Now Season 4 brings the new snowy tundra habitat. You’ll experience icy winds, knee-deep snow and a bunch of monsters. Lagombi, Volvidon, Somnacanth and the ever-ferocious Tigrex are making their debut this season.
The Barioth and small monsters like Wulg and Cortos are making an appearance too. Tigrex is ready to throw down in Hunt-a-thons and might pop up on the field if you’re lucky. You’ll need to unlock them through urgent quests as you progress through Season 4’s story chapters. Complete the prologue and you’ll have access to the tundra.
The Switch Axe is a new weapon in Monster Hunter Now Season 4. It’s like two-for-one. In Axe Mode, you can unleash long-reaching strikes, then flip the switch and go berserk with Sword Mode. To unlock the Switch Gauge, just finish the pre-season story in Chapter 2.
Niantic is giving you your own Palico companions to help gather materials and scout out monsters. You can tweak their fur colour, facial features and give them whatever ridiculous name you want. And if you are into AR, you can take your custom Palico out into the real world and snap some pics together.
Friend Cheering is also in Season 4 to make your hunts a little more wholesome. Send your pals a cheer, and they’ll get a temporary health boost for the day. There’s a limit to how much health you can gain from cheers though.
So, go ahead and get the game from the Google Play Store.
