Steam's client beta has a couple of new quality of life features, one being that you can easily see how much space a game requires.
Previously, you had to click 'Install' to see how much space was required for a game. But now you can easily see the amount listed alongside playtime and achievements. It replaces "last played" which used to list the date you last booted up the game. But the stat still shows when you've installed a title, so don't fret - it's not completely gone.

Another new quality of life feature added in the latest client beta is a cloud sync icon that's shown next to the 'Play' button. When loading in, it'll read, "Checking..." and, if successful, it'll display a tick. The tick indicates that your saved data and progress is on the cloud, letting you access it from other devices. If it's unsuccessful, you'll have to manually sync your data. This will no doubt be a handy feature for when the Steam Deck launches later this month. You can see the icon in the screenshot below.
Currently, these two features are only available in the client beta, but you can opt-in at any time with ease. Simply go to your Steam settings and view the 'Account' tab. Inside, you'll see a section called "Beta participation" - press 'change', open the drop-down menu, and select 'Steam Beta Update'. Voilà, you're in.
You'll be prompted to restart your client which will then download the beta update, giving you access to all the new features. You can then report any bugs you find in the beta through the same menu. Otherwise, you'll have to wait a bit before this update rolls out en masse.
