Despite his immense power, Superman might have met his match when it comes to a hidden power of Starfire's. When facing a rogue Kryptonian, Kori revealed how her particular abilities could be used against the Man of Steel.
Clark Kent may draw power from Earth's yellow sun, but he's not the only hero in the DC Universe to do so. The former Teen Titan Starfire belongs to a race of aliens known as the Tamaraneans. Like Kryptonians, Tamaraneans evolved to absorb solar radiation and channel it in the form of amazing powers. Of course, as mighty as Starfire is, Superman's powers make him one of the strongest heroes in the DCU. With overwhelming strength and a panoply of additional abilities, few heroes come close to matching the power level of the Big Blue Boy Scout.

But even with all the strength in the world, there's plenty of ways to take down a Kryptonian, and the Justice League demonstrated just that in Superman #683 by James Robinson, Renato Guedes, and Jorge Correa. The League is forced to confront the recently resurrected city of Kandor that has taken up residence on earth. Several Kryptonians killed police officers while rounding up the villains in Superman’s rogues' gallery and since the authority of Kandor refuses to hand them over, the League has arrived to apprehend them themselves. With no other choice, a fight between the League and Kandor's forces breaks out. Every hero is forced to take on a Kryptonian of their own, forcing them to come up with some clever countermeasures to disarm their foes.
