The Russo brothers explain why they think that Regé-Jean Page should be the next James Bond. The character debuted in Ian Fleming's 1953 novel, Casino Royale, before charming audiences around the world in his first feature film Dr. No in 1962, starring Sean Connery as 007. The popularity of the film and books spawned a franchise that eventually continued well after Connery left the role, using five additional actors in 25 films that spanned 70 years. With No Time To Die seeing the end of the Daniel Craig's chapter as Bond, the stage is set for a new actor to take up the mantle of the iconic MI-6 agent.
With the no actor yet confirmed for the role, many stars have been considered by both fans and the media for Bond. Luther's Idris Elba, Man Of Steel's Henry Cavill, and Legend's Tom Hardy have been favored choices. However, since his breakout role in the popular period drama, Bridgerton, as the Duke of Hastings, Simon Bassett, Page has thrust himself into candidacy for the part.

While speaking with Radio Times, the Russo brothers agreed that Page would be a perfect cast for Bond in the future. As the directors had hired Page in their latest film, The Gray Man, they had first-hand experience working with the actor. The brothers explained that Page has a wealth of charm and charisma that would allow him to become the eponymous British intelligence agent. Read what the duo said below.
Joe: He's fantastic. I mean, he has more charisma in his pinky than most people do in their entire body. So you know, we'd watch him do anything – I mean we'd watch him read the phonebook!
