Bethesda's highly anticipated Starfield will make its debut on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC this coming September, almost a year after its original release date.
A new trailer shared online today confirmed that the anticipated massive role-playing game will be released worldwide on September 6th. At the end of the new trailer, which provides another quick look at the game, Todd Howard confirmed that a deep dive into the development studio will be shared during the Starfield Direct event on June 11th.
Earlier this year, it was pretty much confirmed that a Starfield release date and dedicated showcase event would be announced soon, so today's reveal doesn't strictly come as a surprise. Still, many expected the dedicated event to come much earlier than June, so fans of the game will have to wait a while longer to learn more about Bethesda's next big game.
As already mentioned, Starfield was originally meant to release on November 11th, 2022, but last May, Bethesda confirmed their game would only release in 2023. According to Xbox's head Phil Spencer, delaying Bethesda's RPG as well as Redfall was the right thing to do, as he wanted to make sure the development teams got all the time they needed to deliver the best possible games.
Starfield launches on PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S worldwide on September 6th, 2023. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
