Starfield's Most-Demanded Feature Looks Like It'll Be Worth The Wait In Leaked Footage
As the community patiently waits for more content, footage of one of the game's most exciting upcoming features is making players very happy. Bethesda announced in early 2024 that it's dedicated to expanding its sci-fi RPG with a wealth of content updates and patches and while some new mechanics and quality-of-life adjustments have been made in recent months, there's still work to be done. The developer has confirmed that it's busy working on a new form of transportation that could be the solution to 's underwhelming planetary exploration.
Posted to X (formerly Twitter) by BethesdaArabic, the user shared footage of land-based vehicles in action, highlighting how they'll control once deployed. The video in question sees a player, presumably sitting alongside a companion, driving over rocky terrain while using a boost mechanic to launch their ride off a cliff, flying further than anticipated likely due to the low gravity of their planet. It's worth noting that the footage was supposedly discovered on 4chan, so while it certainly looks legitimate, it's still recommended that fans take it with a grain of salt before making any judgments.
Starfield has faced a lot of criticism since release, but fixing one major element of gameplay could turn things around or bring in new players.
It's clear from the footage that while 's land-based buggy is largely functional, it still needs a little more time in the oven before it's ready to be deployed. That hasn't stopped the community from fawning over the leak with many players expressing their excitement at seeing how much more fun it'll be to explore barren planets after its addition. While it's clear that driving the vehicle in first-person mode is possible, it remains to be seen how it all looks in third-person which will be, presumably, the optimal means of using the buggy.
