HoYoverse has boarded the hype train early for its Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works crossover, as it’s not set to launch for another year. But this new Honkai: Star Rail trailer – largely designed to tease impending original character Feixiao – is filled with Easter eggs, suggesting that Archer will be the PS5 RPG’s first guest character.
The start of the trailer shows a storyteller from the Xianzhou Luofu speaking of a man with “tanned skin who wielded two swords, one black and one white”. Fans have noticed that description lines up perfectly with the popular Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works character, Archer. We also appear to hear his voice at the very end of the trailer.
To be honest, we can’t say we’re intricately familiar with the ins-and-outs of the Fate franchise, so we may have muddled details, but considering the way HoYoverse is hyping this promotion, we’d expect it to mean big things for the gacha game. We’ll need to wait quite a while to find out, however, as it’s not out until 2025.
