While Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available on PC and probably the center of attention for the coming weeks, next month arguably belongs to Bethesda’s Starfield. The massive space-faring RPG launches on September 6th for Xbox Series X/S and PC, while Premium Edition owners gain access on September 1st.
However, it seems that pre-loads will be going live sooner. Like, a lot sooner. According to an Amazon listing for the Xbox Series S bundle, which includes the Standard Edition of Starfield, you can start pre-loading the game from August 9th (depending on your local regional time).
Interestingly, it seems to include a digital code for the game instead of a physical disc, despite Standard Edition copies on Xbox Series X offering the same. It could simply be that Microsoft opted for a digital code instead of a disc to save on costs. The real question is when the game will go gold since it launches in less than a month. Stay tuned in the meantime for more updates.
