Starfield is getting its "biggest update yet", with more than 100 bug fixes and visual improvements. The update will be rolled out on Steam on January 17, but other players will have to wait an additional two weeks to see the fixes in their game.
The update aims to address several areas of the game, from the overall performance to the quests. Perhaps the significant part of the patch is all of the bug fixes, which should stop some quests from being impossible to complete. This comes weeks after fans complained about this issue, as they found that they were locked out of some of the side content, with NPCs not spawning and necessary dialogue options not appearing.
While Bethesda isn't going over all of the fixes just yet, it has confirmed that it has addressed the bugs that made Eye of the Storm incompletable. Players have reported many other quests not working as intended though, so hopefully, there's much more where that came from.
We'll have to wait and see how the update goes down with the community when it launches next Wednesday, January 17. Unfortunately, it seems that anyone playing via Game Pass for PC will have to wait the extra two weeks for the fixes, alongside any player on console.
Some fans in the replies might want to temper their expectations, though. Already, some seem to be banking on the update adding 60fps on console. This is almost definitely not the case, as it would be such a huge change that Bethesda would have certainly led with it in the announcement. In addition, it's previously been said that capping console to 30fps was a creative decision by Bethesda, so it's unlikely to go back on it so soon after launch, especially when there are other areas to address first.
