Fans of Star Wars: The Old Republic can feast their eyes on a flashy new cinematic trailer for the game. This short video is meant to honor the immensely popular MMORPG, which was released more than ten years ago.
Video game developer BioWare, in association with Electronic Arts, launched The Old Republic (not to be confused with Knights of the Old Republic) back in 2011 after announcing it in 2008. The ambitious online PC title, which is still receiving regular updates to this day, allows players to create their own Sith or Jedi character via a robust and complex customization system. The choices made during this customization process impact the player's experience throughout the entire game, including where they begin their journey and the gear and abilities available to them. These options are just part of what has helped the free-to-play multiplayer game thrive for so long in a competitive market.

To honor the success and longevity of this game, the official The Old Republic Twitter account shared a stunning CGI trailer for the game. The trailer, which is essentially a short film, is titled "Disorder" and was produced in conjunction with Industrial Light & Magic, a VFX house that worked on the original Star Wars film trilogy. Disorder follows the story of a young Togruta Padawan as she is tempted to the dark side by a menacing Sith Lord. A fight breaks out over some sort of important Holocron, and the Sith Lord ultimately escapes with the artifact in hand. The trailer ends after this, revealing the title of an upcoming expansion to SWTOR: Legacy of the Sith.
